Living out the faith is a lifelong process that requires us to respond to God's call to know, love, and serve him. We do so by seeking a deeper understanding of what he teaches through the Scriptures and the Church, strengthening our relationship with him by prayer and the sacraments, and giving of ourselves in service to our neighbor. At Immaculate Conception, we hope to enable our parishioners to live out their faith more fully through a variety of events and programs. Subscribe to ICC's FLOCKNOTE to receive notifications regarding Adult Faith Formation. We invite those who are not Catholic to learn more about BECOMING CATHOLIC.
Join us at 7 PM at Denton County Brewing Co just off the Denton Square for fellowship and learning more about our Catholic faith. We will discuss what we believe about Jesus, the Son of God and Son of Mary. Come ask questions about his human and divine nature, his life, death, and resurrection, and his place in the Scriptures.
Allow you and your spouse a weekend to get away from the business of life to grow in your relationship with the Lord and each other through prayer, reflection, and fellowship with other couples. The retreat will be at Camp Copass, scenically located on Lake Lewisville. You have the option to commute each day for the retreat (total $350/couple) or stay overnight in a hotel room on campus (total $565/couple). In April, we will provide further details and how to register. For more information, please contact Kristina Briones, kraebriones@gmail.com.
Expand your knowledge in the Catholic Faith. Adult Faith Formation has two classes to work with your schedule. Sunday Mornings in the AE room attached to the ICCS Gym at 8:30 AM and Sunday evenings in classroom 209 at 6:00 PM. The schedule coincides with the Sunday faith formation of our youth so that their parents/guardians can grow in their faith simultaneously — no need to leave and come back to pick them up. Prayer, expanding your Catholic faith knowledge, and fellowship are the focus of each class. This school year, we will cover John Bergsma’s Bible Basics for Catholics – A New Picture of Salvation History. For more information, please contact Celeste Pilgrim, cpilgrim@centurytel.net.
Please join us each week for an opportunity to reflect on the upcoming Sunday Mass readings. We meet on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM in the Parish Office Conference Room. For the specific schedule of meetings and any further information, please contact Tom and Kathleen Sands, thomassands@sbcglobal.net.
