Parish Mission at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church May 14-16

Sisters from the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ  presented a parish mission at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton the evenings of Monday through Wednesday, May 14-16. With a theme of "Conversion and Prayer", the mission was an inspiring opportunity to deepen, renew, or experience our walk with the Lord. The Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ are a young Franciscan order based in Prayer Town (Channing), Texas. Their ministries, including giving retreats and missions, have touched and enhanced the lives of thousands.

Here's some descriptive excerpts from their web site:
"The Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ is a Franciscan Religious community. Called to witness to the Gospel, they seek to draw all people into a personal relationship with Jesus through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. This flows from a deep life of prayer, praise, and on-going conversion in loving commitment to one another.
We witness to the Gospel and minister to the spiritual needs of Catholics and non-Catholics adults, youth and children, through various evangelistic outreaches and ministries. These include, but are not limited to: retreats, prayer ministry, praise and worship, mission house, teaching, spiritual direction, and so on.
Since 1975 we have been printing, Praise Him!, now a bi-monthly newsletter that goes to friends and family around the world. Many of the articles in the newsletter are written by our sisters and others that we think are particularly good; we get their permission to reprint. We also give news about our ministries."
