        ALTAR SOCIETY FUNERAL MEAL MINISTRY

The Altar Society has been ministering for over 50 years, by providing a meal after funeral services for families of deceased church members. It grew out of a need to show our love and support to those remaining family members and out of town guests who attended the funeral service.  Many of our ICC ladies are unable to attend meetings, or help in any of the usual ministries in the parish, due to working outside the home. Therefore, we have many levels of participation available. There is very little advance notice, so those who volunteer may only get a 2-day notice. We have a need for a long list of volunteers, some to prepare a dish, some to coordinate, some to serve and clean up after a meal and some to deliver food.
