The Pastoral Council is an advisory committee, appointed by the Pastor after participating in a discernment process, to assist him in prayerful, active care of the parish.The members seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit as to how the parish can best carry out the mission of the Church. They are charged with developing plans for the pastoral life of the parish. The council gathers information from other committees and organizations to coordinate the parish vision through hosting an annual “Share the Vision” meeting.The council examines pastoral issues, studies them and offers recommendations to the pastor. The Finance Council serves in an advisory Capacity to the Pastor, in those areas relating to Parish finances. The council works with the business manager to set the yearly budget. The council reports the financial condition and needs to the parish on a quarterly basis.The report is made from the pulpit and also through mailing of the financial statements.
